In Transport, we keep one of the most dynamic parts of Packeta moving. We work with changing parcel volumes, transport capacities, routes, hubs, and connections across multiple countries. Data, technology, and close cross-border cooperation help us keep parcels moving safely, efficiently, and on time.

As our new Group Linehaul Manager, you will shape how linehaul transportation works across the group. This is a strategic and coordination-focused role with ownership of network design, capacity principles, cost efficiency, SLA, and network stability. Detailed route planning and daily dispatching remain with our analysts and local operational teams.

🎯 Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced transport professional who can see both the network and the business behind it.

You could be the right fit if you:

• Bring 5 to 8 years of experience in logistics or transportation, including hands-on knowledge of linehaul and international transport.
• Have experience managing complex transport networks, ideally across multiple countries.
• Understand hub-and-spoke models, direct routing, capacity planning, SLA management, and the relationship between cost, service quality, and network stability.
• Have a proven track record in capacity and cost optimization.
• Make confident decisions and know how to balance cost, SLA, and operational resilience.
• Can interpret data, identify trends, and turn findings into practical business decisions.
• Communicate and negotiate effectively with country teams, internal stakeholders, carriers, and partners.
• Know how to lead change and coordinate the rollout of new routes, standards, or network solutions.
• Use English fluently in your daily professional communication.
• Are comfortable travelling within the region.
• Work with a high level of ownership, autonomy, and accountability.

Experience with TMS or transport-planning tools is an advantage. Knowledge of parcel networks, cross-border e-commerce logistics, or a fast-growing international environment will help you get up to speed even faster.

🛠️ What will you be responsible for?

Linehaul strategy and network design

• Define the group linehaul network model, including routes, hubs, connections, and routing logic.
• Establish common planning principles across countries.
• Ensure that the network is stable, cost-efficient, scalable, and ready for growth and peak periods

Planning governance and cross-country coordination

• Set group-wide planning standards for capacity models, buffer capacity, and peak planning.
• Align cut-off times, capacity, departures, arrivals, and depot connections across markets.
• Approve major network changes, including new routes, frequency adjustments, and routing changes.
• Resolve conflicts and competing priorities between countries and teams.

International transportation

• Manage cross-border and inbound and outbound linehaul flows.
• Define routing principles and SLA for international lanes.
• Optimize flows between countries and decide when consolidation or direct routing delivers the best result.

Capacity, cost, and carrier management

• Own the group capacity framework covering carriers, vehicles, and frequencies.
• Drive improvements in cost per parcel, cost per kilometre, and vehicle utilization.
• Decide when capacity should be increased or reduced.
• Define carrier requirements in cooperation with Procurement.
• Participate in carrier selection and tenders and approve changes in carrier allocation.

Performance and continuous improvement

• Define linehaul SLA and monitor performance, delays, stability, and network variability.
• Initiate and drive corrective actions when performance moves off track.
• Lead the rollout of approved network changes across countries.
• Provide clear linehaul performance reporting to leadership.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, capacity risks, and threats to network stability.
